Zhila Pirmoradi is a Project Manager at the City of Vancouver, leading Quality and Continuous Process Improvement projects at the Engineering Business Unit. Her prior experience is in Software Development, Management Consulting, Airline Catering, Healthcare, and Automotive Industry research. Her field of research in her Masters was on use of customer satisfaction indices to measure and identify the key factors common between manufacturing and service industries impacting customer loyalty. She did extensive research on powertrain design optimization for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize GHG emissions, operating costs, and manufacturing costs.
Zhila also has been a visiting lecturer at the Beedie Business School of SFU, teaching Operations Management. Zhila is also on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Vancouver Section leadership committee, working toward identification of ways to better serve the needs of Quality Management professionals in BC.
