Mohamed Mohsen is the Department Head for the Hospitality Management program at Acsenda School of Management. He believes that knowledge is best acquired through a combination of experience, skills, and passion. Hence, he spent over 20 years working in the industry in addition to working in Academia. Throughout his career, Mohamed completed his PhD (2010) in the same field from Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cardiff, UK. His thesis’ title was “The Introduction of a TQM Culture in Hotels in the UK”. On the industrial side, he worked in nine different hotels in three different countries: Egypt, UK, and Saudi Arabia. He reached the position of Training and Quality Control Manager in Sheraton Dammam Hotel in Saudi Arabia. In 2016, he was awarded the President Award that is granted to the department head of the year in the hotel by then managing company Starwood Hotels and Resorts. He is highly qualified in the training and quality management areas in the hospitality industry.
