Branka Gataric received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics, major in International Economic Relations in 1992. Professional accounting designation was obtained in 2006 from a recognized Canadian accounting program – CPA, CGA. She earned her ACCA designation from U.K. in 2013 and obtained her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Laurentian University in 2015.
Branka has been working for CPA Western School of Business since August 2015 as Articulation Manager articulating post-secondary institutions’ courses and accounting programs for transfer credit to the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) and CPA Canada’s Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CPA ACAF). Prior to that, Branka has worked for a legacy accounting association CGA-BC in Education where her expertise was in recognizing and assessing international education for degree and transfer credits towards the CGA program. Prior to this, she has had many years of industry experience (more than sixteen years) holding various roles, i.e. Senior Financial Accountant, Accounting Manager, Corporate Controller, etc. She used to work as a part-time CGA lecturer at UBC and was a CGA assignment marker while working full-time in industry. Branka’s academic interest and strengths are in education as she has a strong passion in helping students achieve their career goals.
Mrs. Gataric started teaching in the 1990s and is now teaching various financial and management accounting courses at different levels. She joined Acsenda School of Management as an instructor in 2012.
