We are pleased to announce that our School will be organizing a Job/Career Fair on Thursday, November 21st from 11am to 2pm and you are cordially invited to attend. If you happen to have a class that coincides with the timing of the Fair, your instructors will either allocate a suitable time for you to attend or you could do so during your break time at 12.30pm.
We now have 3 confirmed participating employers: RBC, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Sun Life Financial. There could be another employer signing up between now and the day of the event.
If you are about to graduate, attending the fair will put you in contact with potential job and internship opportunities. We urge you to take full advantage of this opportunity to find out as much as you can about potential openings available in each company represented at the Fair. If you are not graduating anytime soon, attending the Fair will provide you an opportunity to learn more about various career options, establish contacts with potential employers or simply make new friends.
Throughout the 3 hour event, participating employers will be providing information on employment or internship opportunities as well as their corporate mission, products and services. The information could be shared one-on-one at their respective booth and/or through presentations. Refreshments will be served and corporate gifts will be given away through lucky draws toward the end of the event. Students are encouraged to stick around if you want to take home an attractive prize.
To ensure you don’t miss out on this important event in our School calendar, do make a notation of it in your diary immediately. We look forward to meeting all of you at the Fair!
UPDATE:
The Acsenda School of Management organized its inaugural Career Fair on 21st Nov. 2013. With the participation of 5 reputable employers – RBC, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Sun Life Financial, Export Venture Group Inc., and Marcus Evans – the turn up by students, alumni and faculty exceeded initial expectation. Subsequent feedback from attendees were extremely positive – ranging from having made valuable new contacts to, having picked up useful tips on job requirements, gathered information on current & future job opportunities and meeting up with former classmates and instructors.
With the good turn-up and positive feedback, not to mention the subsequent success amongst some attendees in securing jobs following the Career Fair, one can expect more Career Fairs at Acsenda in 2014 and the years to come.
